Scan organic event bonus always zero

What's Wrong (please be as specific as possible)

Expected

Organic bonus to be >0 when completing a scan and you have first foot fall.

Observed

event.organic.bonus is always zero.

Steps to reproduce

1. Find biologicals on a body that has not yet been landed on by any other commander (so you get first foot fall)
2. Complete a scan of a biological.
3. Observe the event.organic.bonus in the 'Scan organic' event is always zero.

Finally found some organics. The event.organic.bonus in 'Scan organic' isn't working either. I got first foot fall, but bonus was zero when it should have been x4 the organic value.

As per 'steps to reproduce' above, I've scanned a couple of bios on bodies I have got first foot fall, and the bonus is always zero.

That event is bugged by Frontier.

However, none of the Journal entries seem to show any credit values, so I am assuming EDDI stores these internally.

Journals and logs would be helpful for confirming whether the organics you are encountering are part of EDDI's internal catalog. Verbose logs could tell us more about variable states.

The base value should be equal to {event.organic.species.value} and {event.organic.species.bonus} should be 4X that amount.
If {event.organic.species} is empty or {event.organic.species.localizedName} is empty then that suggests missing definitions.

If on the other hand {event.organic.species.value} has a non-zero value, you have a first footfall, and the bonus is still missing then that suggests first footfall information isn't getting set properly in the Scan organic event.

Thank you for the reply. Here are the full session Journal, and full verbose EDDI log:

For these, I found a body with Bacterium Acies on, then flew to a hover over the surface. I set EDDI to verbose logging, and quit ED and EDDI/VA. I then reloaded all and loaded into game. I touched down, disembarked, and made sure I had received the 'First Foot Fall' award message in game. I then proceeded to scan my first and second specimens. The third took a while longer to find.

I made sure to add test variables in the Scan organic script (and ran a test, which you may see in the logs). This is what I have in the script (this is in the 'Analyze' scanstage=4 section):

(Note: the species_value[genusSpecies] gets the base value from an array list I have in the script.)

This is the output I got in speechresponder.out when completing the third scan:

Valued at 1,000,000 credits 1000000, 1000000, 0, 1777487171., and with your first footfall, a bonus of 4,000,000 credits.

As you can see, the event base values are populated and correct. The event bonus is zero, and the .footfalled is populated with a timestamp. Both that and not .alreadyfirstfootfalled in the IF check, trigger my own version of the bonus report, but the version based on the event bonus does not work.

You mention the bonus variable as being event.organic.species.bonus, but in EDDI it says it's just event.organic.bonus.

You're right, event.organic.bonus works.
Scan stage 4 was the critical detail. The bonus was being applied correctly at scan stages 1-3 but not scan stage 4.
