It may be better to sort them in alphabetical order.

Definitely, alpha sort is much better for humans. Many times, your eyes can find something in a short alphabetical list faster than doing a search in the browser.

I didn't see an IDE plugin I needed because the links were split between the list and the paragraph. So I put them all in the list.
