Marley appears at the Glee Club rehearsal after re-joining and sings this song as a solo, with New Directions as back-up. During the performance, Rachel is seen in New York, scrolling through her phone, looking at pictures of Finn, and watching lovers stroll through New York. She calls Kurt to finally tell him the truth about her issues with Cassandra and her roommate. He tells her to move in with someone else and to turn around. She sees him and finally, at the end, runs to him, hugging him. After the song, the New Directions applaud for Marley, & went into a group embrace.
At first, Puck is very much opposed to the Glee Club, deeming it "gay" and a group for "losers." Shortly after Quinn Fabray joins the club, Puck discovers that she has become pregnant with his baby, and joins the glee club as a way of being closer to her. As Season One progresses, Puck begins to enjoy glee club and find his passion for singing. Quinn eventually gives birth to their biological daughter in Journey. They named her Beth, and she is adopted by Shelby Corcoran, the coach of Vocal Adrenaline.
In I Am Unicorn, he sees his one-year-old daughter, Beth for the first time since she was adopted. In Season Four, Puck returns to help out and mentor his half-brother, Jake Puckerman. Their relationship continues to grow and flourish, especially when Jake needs help with Marley Rose. In Season Five, at the end of The Quarterback, Puck decides to enlist in the Air Force to honor his late friend, Finn Hudson. In 100, Puck officially begins a relationship with Quinn. In Season Six, he returns a few times to Lima, specifically helping Rachel and Kurt find new members for the glee club and Santana's and Brittany's (and then, Kurt's and Blaine's) wedding. In Dreams Come True, he comes back to McKinley in 2020 to a re-dedication of the auditorium to his late best friend Finn.

When Finn returns to Rachel unexpectedly, it causes their relationship to shake, due to Rachel and Brody's developing friendship while Finn was in the army. Meanwhile in Lima, Blaine misses Kurt and feels left behind causing him to act in an insensible manner. Santana and Brittany struggle with their relationship because of the long distance, therefore they decide to finish it off in a mature way. Marley admits to Jake that she isn't too keen with Kitty, and Emma and Will deal with conflicts when Will is accepted into the Blue Ribbon Panel for the performing arts show choir and wants to pull Emma from being the school counselor to join him in Washington.
In early drafts of the Pilot script, Quinn's name was "Liz Fabray".
Emma sang Afternoon Delight with Carl, Puck, Rachel and Quinn thinking it was a dessert rather than another meaning for an afternoon romp in the sheets.
Ironically the character Chris Colfer portrays is one of the oldest kids in the Glee Club. Chris, until "Pot' O Gold", was the youngest cast member in Glee, even younger than Lauren Potter, who portrays Becky. Jenna, Darren and Kevin all portray characters who are about a year younger, but they are all older than him.
