July 19th, 4 PM: UCI workshop.

July 22nd, 5 PM: Submission ends.

July 29th, 5 PM: Judging ends

July 30th, 3 PM: Winners announced

Eligibility

Anyone can participate in this tournament as long as they are above 13 years of age.

Project and Submission Requirements

Upload your project to GitHub. Provide the build of your project as an executable file (it should be a command line program and must be interfaceable with UCI). When submitting your project, provide the link to your GitHub and a video explaining the design of your chess engine and the decisions that you made. A README file explaining the design of your chess engine is equivalent and also allowed.

Using a chess engine that someone else has made will result in disqualification. You are allowed to take inspiration, but copying is not permitted. You can use libraries, including a movegen library. Anything that is not yours pertaining to search OR evaluation in your submission will result in disqualification. 

Prizes

First place: $100

Second place: $75

Third place: $50

Fourth place: $25

Judging Criteria and Winner Selection

The judging criteria is very simple: those who place in the top four in the tournament will be the winners.
