Dates

Our hackathon is in-person, November 15th-16th. The hacking duration of the event runs from 11:00 AM on November 15th to 11:00 AM on November 16th.

Original Work

All projects submitted must be original and created from scratch during the hackathon timeframe. You cannot use previously existing projects, templates, or codebases. We value innovation and fresh ideas!

Teams

A project team must have one to four members, and each hacker can only be part of one team.

Plagiarism and Intellectual Property

Plagiarism or the use of others' work without proper attribution is strictly prohibited. Respect intellectual property rights and ensure you have the necessary permissions for any external resources used.

Generative AI

The use of generative AI chatbots and other AI tools is allowed and encouraged for coding or otherwise creating your hackathon project.

Project and Submission Requirements

A project must be both submitted on Devpost and presented to at least 6 judges at the in-person science fair style project showcase. Team presentation slots will be posted at ~10:30 AM on Sunday via Discord and the HackRPI website.

By participating in HackRPI 2025, you agree to abide by the rules and decisions made by the organizers.
