A Long Time Ago…

A long time ago, in a life that feels very different to now…

I showed up confidently on the outside. I ran the home. I supported everyone. I made things work.

But when it came to money, structure, and long-term security — I wasn’t fully at the table.

Not because I wasn’t capable.

But because no one had ever shown me how to feel confident in that space.

Now?

I’m studying accounting. I’m learning the language of numbers. I’m helping women understand their households from the inside out.

I help women lead with clarity — guiding their partners and future generations toward confidence and accountability with money.

Not to replace their partner.

But to stand beside them.

This isn’t about a dream far, far away.

This is about this house. This table. This life.

I’m done sitting quietly.

I’m building a legacy — for my family, and for the women who are ready to do the same.

Here are my suggestions on starting out.

Money has worn you out; you don't sleep because of it, you work really hard because of it, and you go without because of it.

Here is where I guide you in small ways to build confidence in tackling financial decisions and even start to control it.

How good will it feel when you can start saying yes again?

Yes to the coffee, yes to going out, yes to a holiday.

Step one: Understand your Income streams

This is where the money is coming in, and how often and how much?

You may be employed, and it's once a week and set value, this is easy.

But it may be that you have garage sales or offside income, you may be self-employed, so you have irregular payments and are unsure when and how much is coming.

I use an Excel spreadsheet and get the yearly financial bank statement.

I have been doing this for at least the last 3 months. If you are on seasonal income, do at least that to cover that period as well.

This gives you a base income; add that and divide it by the number of weeks you used. Then multiply that by 52; that is your annual gross income.

This is the formula I use to total my Column C

Step 2: Expenses

Understanding where and when the money transfers helps with planning and scheduling when you will have a reduced supply.

Then use the same bank statements, review, and enter this information. This is what will be the key to understanding your current financial position.

Use the same process to total Column C, take the weekly amount from the total weekly income amount, and this gives you a NET Income.

Have a look at this and see how many expenses were N/A, can you remove any of these in the future?

Can you reduce the value of these expenses in the future?

What you are looking for is patterns of incoming and outgoing, and where you can increase Income opportunities and reduce expenses.

Make the decision is it a need or a must?

Once you get clarity, you will get more confident in making money-minded decisions.

Take My Hand,

I ran the home. I showed up for everyone. I worked as a hairdresser. I supported my family.

But when it came to money, long-term security, and business structure, I wasn’t fully at the table.

Not because I wasn’t capable.

Because no one had shown me how.

The Moment Everything Shifted

In my late 40s, with three generations under one roof and four boys watching everything I did, I realised something uncomfortable:

I was strong… But I wasn’t strategically strong.

I could stretch a dollar. Cook for a crowd. Manage chaos.

But I couldn’t confidently talk about balance sheets, analytics, business law, or long-term growth.

And that mattered to me.

Because I didn’t want to just “get by.”

I wanted to build something solid.

So I enrolled in a Bachelor of Business.

At 47. During COVID. In lockdown.When It Got Hard

University wasn’t glamorous.

It was late nights and academic language I hadn’t seen since 1991. It was brain fog from COVID running through our house. It was guilt — wondering if I was being a “bad mum” for studying instead of constantly serving.

There was a semester when I withdrew.

That hurt more than I expected.

Because this wasn’t just a degree.

It was proof to myself that I wasn’t finished growing.

So I recalibrated. Completed my Diploma of Business Studies. Rebuilt my plan. Re-enrolled.

Not because it was easy.

But because I refuse to stay small.

Reinventing My Identity

For years, I was known as:

• The hairdresser mum • The hockey mum • The one who always helps

And I am proud of that.

But I am also:

• A student • A strategist • A business owner • A woman building financial literacy • A leader in progress

Education didn’t change who I was.

It expanded me.

Reinvention Is Messy

Reinvention looks like:

• Studying at the kitchen table • Working multiple jobs • Starting small businesses to support cash flow • Admitting you don’t know everything • Showing up anyway

Resilience isn’t blind positivity.

It’s deciding that the goal is bigger than the discomfort.

Why This Matters

I believe women deserve to:

• Understand money • Be equal in financial conversations • Build income from home if they choose • Support their families without losing themselves

I know what it feels like to be capable but not confident in financial matters.

I know what it feels like to want more — and not know where to start.

That’s why I share the ups and downs.

Because life is messy.

By 50, I will have my degree.

Not for ego. For impact.

And I am just getting started.

Today I had one of those moments.

You know the ones — when you’re learning so much, studying hard, building ideas, and yet somehow you still feel like you have absolutely no idea where to begin.

I’m currently studying marketing as part of my Bachelor of Business. On paper, that sounds impressive. But the truth? Some days I feel like Alice in Wonderland — wandering through this strange new world where everything is fascinating, but the path forward isn’t always obvious.

So far into something that you can’t quite see your way out yet.

But here’s what I keep reminding myself.

Ideas start small.

And sometimes the journey is the point.

Her Concierge has actually been on a journey since 2019. That was the year I made the decision to go back and study. At the time, I didn’t have a perfectly formed business plan. What I had was a feeling — a desire to create a space where mums and families could build homes that worked better.

One of my earliest ideas was simple: Helping mums and kids cook together.

Food has always been a powerful connector in our home. Cooking together builds confidence, teaches life skills, and creates moments that matter.

One of the unexpected gifts in that journey has been having a Thermomix in the kitchen. For families with younger kids, it removes some of the stress that can come with cooking — fewer sharp knives in little hands and far less mess to clean up afterwards. It turns the kitchen into a space where kids can safely participate rather than just watch.

And when kids are involved, something magical happens.

They become proud of what they’ve created.

But Her Concierge is also deeply personal.

I’m a mum of four incredible sons, and between my boys, ET and Fletch, we also carry the love of our angel baby. Motherhood shapes you in ways you never expect. It stretches you, grows you, and sometimes completely empties you.

As mums, we are often the ones holding everything together.

We show up for everyone else.

We give the best of ourselves to our families, our work, and our communities.

And too often we take whatever is left over for ourselves.

Lately, I’ve been thinking a lot about a simple phrase:

I matter too.

Not in a selfish way.

But in a balanced way.

Because when mums are supported, organised and confident, the entire household benefits.

That’s really what Her Concierge is about.

It’s about the strategies, systems and products that help life run more smoothly. The tools that make everyday life easier. The little things that help you get through a busy week when everything feels like a lot.

Some of those tools might be practical systems.

Some might be helpful products.

Some might just be ideas that make you think differently about how your home runs.

But all of them have one goal.

Helping women feel a little more capable, a little more supported, and a little less overwhelmed.

Good morning,

Today I want to talk about something that many women struggle to say out loud.

Putting yourself first.

Not in a selfish way. Not in a passive-aggressive way. And not from resentment.

But from care.

Because somewhere along the way, many of us became incredibly good at looking after everyone else.

We organise the house. We support the family. We help friends. We show up for work. We volunteer. We listen.

And we do it well.

But here is the quiet truth many women carry inside:

Sometimes, after doing all of that, a little voice appears.

"Why didn’t anyone say thank you?" "Why didn’t someone ask how I am?" "Why didn’t anyone offer to help?"

It doesn’t mean you regret helping.

In fact, you probably love helping.

But deep down there is a part of you that simply wants to be seen too.

And that feeling isn’t selfish.

It’s human.

This isn’t about resentment. It’s about acknowledgement.

Acknowledging that you matter as much as the people you care for.

For many women, the idea of putting themselves first feels uncomfortable. We’ve been taught to fill everyone else's cup before we even think about our own.

But the truth is this:

If you keep giving the leftovers of yourself, eventually there will be nothing left to give.

Burnout doesn’t happen overnight. It happens slowly — one small sacrifice at a time.

One more "yes" when you meant "not today." One more thing added to the list. One more moment where you put yourself last.

Stepping up for yourself doesn’t mean pushing others aside.

It simply means recognising that your wellbeing, your joy, and your energy matter too.

Imagine starting your day like this:

"Good morning. Thank you."

Thank you for everything you have carried. Thank you for the care you give others. Thank you for showing up even when it’s hard.

Then ask yourself one simple question:

What makes me truly happy?

Not what fills the schedule. Not what pleases everyone else.

But what genuinely makes you feel alive, calm, excited, or fulfilled?

Because when you begin to take care of yourself with the same kindness you give everyone else, something powerful happens.

You don’t become less generous.

You become stronger.

You become clearer.

You become someone who can give from a place of fullness rather than exhaustion.

And that is the kind of woman the world needs more of.

So today, this is your reminder:

You matter.

Your happiness matters. Your energy matters. Your life matters.

And allowing yourself to take the best of you — not just the leftovers — is not selfish.

It’s necessary.

Her Concierge – Simple & Sorted for Home, Life & You

I’m sitting at dinner surrounded by the people I love most in this world — and I am completely, utterly absent.

Not physically. I’m right there. Passing the food, nodding along, doing all the things. But my thoughts? Gone. My opinions? I couldn’t find them. And when I did try to say something, it came out wrong — too sharp, too demanding — not the warm, valuable presence I wanted to be.

I had been so busy serving everyone around me that I had slowly, quietly, disappeared from my own life.

“I had no feelings. No emotions. I was living on contempt and frustration — and I didn’t even know why.”

I remember my 40th birthday. I went to a cake making class — something I thought might spark something in me. I sat there and felt nothing. Completely hollow. My tank was empty and I was running purely on muscle memory. Going through the motions of a life I had built but somehow wasn’t living.

Why? Because I had lost myself. I had lost what made me smile. What gave me drive. What made me feel like me.

And here’s the thing — I had done it to myself, slowly, in the name of love. Of loyalty. Of being everything to everyone. Sound familiar?

Who am I — really?

I’m Stacey. And depending on who I’m with, I show up differently — just like you do. Just like we all do. A bit like a show, really. We play our roles.

I wore every single one of those labels. Proudly. And completely at the cost of the one label that mattered most — myself.

Now, at 52, something shifted. I am just beginning. I am dreaming again. I can see who I am and what I’m capable of — and it’s more than I ever gave myself credit for.

What I’ve rediscovered

You want to know what makes me genuinely happy? The same things that scare me a little. People.

→    Hairdressing — because I get to make people feel seen and beautiful, and after 30+ years I can create things I’m genuinely proud of

→    Cooking — because food creates conversations, and conversations create connection

→    The beach — sunshine on my face, water on my skin — it brings me back to my body every single time

→    Learning — because I have a story worth telling, and I want the language and the confidence to tell it well

I have been privileged to meet extraordinary people along the way — women and men who saw something in me before I could see it in myself. Who reached out a hand. Who didn’t let me stay small.

This is me reaching my hand out to you.

Okay, so I missed last week's blog. Life happened. But I'm here now and honestly there's too much good stuff to not share it.

Wednesday I was at the SeneGence Sisterhood seminar and wow. The product education alone was worth every minute but the gifts? Unexpected and so generous. There is something really special about being in a room full of women who genuinely want each other to win. I left feeling full.

Then the planners went live. Like actually live. The 7 Day, 30 Day and 90 Day Reset Planners are on Payhip now, linked through my Linktree. Something I built from scratch is sitting there ready for the women who need it. I still can't quite believe it.

On top of that I submitted three university assignments this week. Three. While running everything else. I'm not saying that to brag I'm saying it because sometimes you have to stop and acknowledge what you're actually carrying.

Et turned 22 this week. And if I'm honest, I wasn't as present as I wanted to be. That used to send me into a spiral of mum guilt that would take me out for days. But here's what's different now. We've built rhythms in this family that don't fall apart when mum is deep in it. The boys know how to pull together. Craig holds the space. The systems we've put in place mean that even when I'm absent in body, the family doesn't feel abandoned. That took years to build and it's one of the things I'm most proud of.

Mum guilt is real. But it doesn't have to be the loudest voice in the room. Having strategies in place means my family thrives even in the busy seasons. And that gives me permission to keep going.

This isn't a perfect life. It's a full one. And I'm not stopping.
