Enhancing education for students in the Hood River County School District
Through our 57 scholarship funds, the Education Foundation has awarded more than $2,500,000 in scholarships to more than 1000 students. The Foundation has also raised and distributed more than $500,000 through its Impact Teaching Programs.

Program Highlights
Arts in Education
The Artist in Residence Program brings visual, performing, literary, and media arts directly into schools, giving students hands-on opportunities to explore creativity and self-expression, all led by professional artists. HRCEF provides grants to ensure all 1st and 3rd grade students in the school district can experience the joy of learning through art.
All Elementary Schools
Music Programs & Instrumental Rentals
Music teaches students skills from motor coordination to memory recall and math, but the cost of renting instruments can be prohibitively expensive for students. HRCEF provides grants to the school district so that all students at Hood River and Wy'East middle schools can learn an instrument, and event participate in the school band.

Operation Keyboard – Keys to Success
This project has given opportunity to many students who would have otherwise not had the opportunity to play keyboard. Learning keyboard provides a visual understanding of music theory that is not accessible through other instruments.
