Remembering Sue Johnson, Two Years On

In Remembrance of

Dr. Sue Johnson

This week, we are holding Sue in our hearts. April 23 marks two years since her passing — and as another spring arrives, her presence feels close.

We asked two of her closest colleagues to share what is in their hearts this week

Gail Palmer:
“As the second year passes since Sue left this planet, I think of her voice. She spoke with passion and conviction about matters that mattered — about love, about womanhood, about authenticity and truth. She suffered no fools while also taking delight in the comedy of everyday absurdity. I miss her voice, yet I know her words and her work will be heard for many years to come.”

Leanne Campbell:
“Indeed, as winter turns to spring and we experience another year without Sue, the changing seasons are another reminder of her appreciation of the beauty that surrounds us — the birds and blossoms, and the booming mountain illuminated in the background. Although her twinkling eyes, captivating stories and mischievous laugh no longer light up the room as they once did, her enduring presence does, with her work and with the love she gave so many.”

This week, we hold Sue in our hearts, always with love and deep gratitude for everything she gave to this field and this community.
