Jerrod Reimer
President & CEO
Jerrod joined IdeaTek Systems in 2012 as CFO. Taking over the reins as CEO of the newly formed IdeaTek Telcom in 2015, Jerrod led the strategy to retool IdeaTek into a world-class telecommunications company with an emphasis on expanding internet access to rural Kansas residents, commercial pods and educational facilities.
During his tenure as CEO, he has overseen sales growth of 89%, a 300 percent increase in IdeaTek’s customer base in less than four years and expanded the company’s footprint into nearly 50 Kansas communities.
Prior to joining IdeaTek, Jerrod spent 12 years at a global equipment manufacturer where he rose from intern to Director of Accounting and Management Information Systems for the $90M company.
Jerrod is a husband and father of three children.
Daniel Friesen
Co-Founder & CIO
Daniel and four other high school students formed IdeaTek Systems, Inc. in 1999 with only $250. He grew the company and, by 2007, was building fiber into the town of Buhler.
After leading the company through a stock purchase agreement with Zayo Group, IdeaTek Telcom was formed in 2015 with a focus of bringing high-speed internet to rural Kansas. Daniel currently holds the position of Chief Innovation Officer at IdeaTek Telcom and IdeaTek Equity Group — IdeaTek’s private investment arm. Today, IdeaTek has more than 100 employees working in the rural Kansas town of 1,300 residents.
Daniel is active on local, state and national boards. He serves on the Reno County Commission, is a member of the FCC BDAC Competitive Infrastructure Working Group and the Kansas Broadband Expansion Taskforce. He is also a licensed pilot, husband and father of four children.
Daniel Solomon
Chief Financial Officer
Daniel Solomon serves as the Chief Financial Officer, where he leads financial and strategic initiatives to drive the company’s expansion across Kansas and forecast future growth. Since 2019, he has also been a founding partner at Elevar Partners LLC, providing advisory services and capital solutions for companies in agriculture, industrial, and energy markets. Previously, Solomon spent 15 years at Koch Industries, holding senior finance roles such as Chief Financial Officer of Koch Engineered Solutions and Chief Risk Officer.
