Jamie Ritblat

Leading entrepreneur Jamie Ritblat was recognised as Property Personality of the Year at the RESI Awards in 2014, having been the recipient of the Entrepreneur of the Year award from Property Week in 2013. 

Mr. Ritblat has accumulated over 30 years of experience in the real estate sector, and under his tenure his company Delancey has undertaken several groundbreaking real estate developments and investments, including the redevelopment of the former London 2012 Olympics Athletes’ Village site. The latter has resulted in the delivery of over 3,000 homes for rent at East Village, Stratford, through Get Living.

Mr. Ritblat recently oversaw the joint-venture acquisition on behalf of client funds of the development site at Earl’s Court, a complex redevelopment opportunity that represents London’s largest cleared Zone One site. He is also currently chairman of the Earl’s Court Development Company, the platform established to deliver the planned new neighbourhood. The development aims to showcase the best in sustainable, environmentally advanced and community-focused design. 

Before founding Delancey, Mr. Ritblat was a director at British Land Limited from 1990 to 1995. In this role, he was responsible for or linked to around £2 billion of transactions, which included innovative new joint ventures with operating partners Scottish and Newcastle PLC and Tesco Stores PLC. He also managed the British Land Quantum Fund, which was successfully liquidated following its completion, over 18 months, of a £1 billion investment programme.

Mr. Ritblat is currently a trustee for the Earl of Bathurst at the Bathurst Estate, a responsibility he has fulfilled since 2013, and since 2016 he has been a trustee of the Heritage of London Trust.
