This is a first look at another recently completed custom pool project, and one of the biggest challenges was the slope of the yard. Elevation changes can have a major impact on pool design, patio layout, drainage, retaining walls, and the overall functionality of the outdoor living space.
Fortunately, designing and building pools on sloped lots is one of our specialties. Instead of viewing elevation changes as a problem, we view them as an opportunity to create a backyard that feels intentional, balanced, and tailored to the property.
Whether it's a fiberglass pool, gunite pool, retaining wall, raised patio, or a complete outdoor living space, taking the time to properly plan for the terrain is what separates a good project from a great one.

What we love about this project is how well it fits the space it was given. The overall design is simple — a clean fiberglass pool and patio layout — but a lot of thought still went into making sure everything felt balanced, functional, and comfortable without overwhelming the yard.
Smaller spaces often require just as much attention as larger projects. You have to think carefully about spacing, traffic flow, elevations, patio size, and making sure the backyard still feels open and usable once the pool is installed.
Sometimes the best designs aren’t the most complicated ones — they’re the ones that fit the space perfectly and feel like they were always meant to be there.
