Artist Statement: As I take my photos, I get to feel myself standing in the shoes of my subject. Whether it’s graduation photos as they step into a new phase of their life, headshots as they strive to present their best self, or just photos of my friends and family in all their joy, I get to experience their emotions. I get to shape light, whether it be vibrant sunshine or dramatic flash, to show my subjects’ best selves. I get to hear their stories, celebrate their achievements, and capture once-in-a-lifetime events.
Value Statement: In my photos, the subject gets the best of what’s real. Instead of erasing any elements of my subject, my editing brings out the best in them, highlighting what already shines. The client gets photos that show a realistic snapshot of their life. Good candid photos allow clients to enjoy memories for years to come while still being fully immersed in the experience.
