Welcome to the MacOdrum Library

We are pleased to welcome new and returning students and faculty to the Library. We are looking forward to supporting your academic journey here at Carleton and hope that you've had a restful and rejuvenating summer.

Carleton Library is a vibrant and active partner in teaching, learning, and research across all disciplines of the university. In addition to our print collections and in-person services, we offer an ever-expanding range of digital resources accessible from anywhere, at any time. From e-books and databases to online consultations and our virtual chat service, we are committed to supporting you wherever you are.

The Library has always been at the heart of Carleton, not only as a place to access information but also as a space for our community to gather and learn. This year, we are particularly excited to welcome you to our newly renovated Archives and Special Collections space on Level 5, where our team facilitates access to our rare books and archival materials.

We understand that the beginning of the semester can be a busy time, but I'd like to encourage you to take a moment to step into the Library. Whether you're seeking a quiet retreat or a dynamic space to collaborate, our staff, collections and spaces are here for you.

We look forward to seeing new and familiar faces this fall, and as always, feel free to contact us.
