A German native based in Chiang Mai, Thailand, Simon founded Ling in 2017 after identifying a gap in quality resources for lesser-taught languages.
With a background in Information Systems and former experience as an IT consultant in Germany, Simon combines technical expertise with a passion for accessible, culturally inclusive education. Under his leadership, Ling has grown into a global, remote-first edtech company serving millions of learners worldwide.
Originally from Thailand, Khwan co-founded Ling after recognizing the need for more effective, engaging tools for learning underrepresented languages.
With a Master’s degree in Information Systems and a background in IT consulting in Germany, Khwan brings strong operational and systems expertise to the company. She has played a key role in scaling Ling into a global, multi-product edtech business known for its collaborative, people-first culture.
