“The Measure of a Man” is probably the first great TNG episode. That’s not to say there weren’t good or interesting episodes from S1 or earlier in S2. I think this is just the episode where they get at the hard questions that makes TNG lovable going forward.

Took the kids to a local indoor playground with giant play structures and trampolines, and ended up being the only one leaving with injuries. Rope bridge took me as a victim - gonna be sore tomorrow but I had a lot of fun. (I assume the kids did too)

Got quoted $20k to do a battery backup system for my house. Laughable!

The price of hybrid inverters and batteries is at an all time low. I can build a system myself (excluding permits / labor) for something like $6k.

Kind of kicking myself for not over sizing my solar array back in 2019 when I could have gotten 30% of it paid for with a rebate, and the interest rates were lower.

I’m finding myself “underpowered” now compared to my usage, likely given our EV and having two kids (+ working from home full time now).

Trying to work up the nerve, and understand the permitting required, to size up my system myself.

Lazy Saturday! That’s ok. Felt like I’ve been going pretty fast at work and home lately. And even so, gotta hit the hardware store for supplies to wrap another project or two… tomorrow

I got to play with a jackhammer today. The concrete contractor years ago poured the step in front of our siding, and it was finally time for me to fix it.
