Smallish update, I’ve been busy with work and other stuff so I’ve not been around these parts as much. I’ve been getting back to working on some art for Bomtoons. Boring UI stuff but it’s necessary so.

im thinking it should be wrapped by late summer.
As far as my travels go, I was in Moldova last month on a solo trip. It’s the least visited country in Europe and number 32 of my checklist of Europe. I had a pleasant time. It’s amazing how clean it was. But I guess keeping it tidy is easier when you don’t have a ton of tourists trashing the place.
some fotos below:

Chisinau is the capital of Moldova. The bus into the city was 30 cents. Really crowded but otherwise straightforward.

as i mentioned the sidewalks are spotless. No cigarette butts or nothin.

this dude shows up all over the city. Including the money. Stephan the great I believe he is.
not a lot of people speak English. Romanian mostly (country next door).

this is one of the smallest sculptures according to instagram. I wasn’t sure what to expect when I went hunting for it. It’s called the little prince. And yea it’s small. Size reference with the barbarian figurine I travel with

during the weekend I hopped on a tour bus of outside the of the city center. There was only one other person on the bus. A guy from Spain that’s been traveling around Europe. He was going to Romania next. I told him I just came from there the month before. It’s refreshing running into people who are avid travelers. The purpose of my tour was to go to a small town with a church at the top of a cliff and some altars that are burrowed into the hill. There’s like a monk that lives in the cave and it’s kind of anyone’s guess when he will be in or not. If he’s not then the attraction is closed lol. He was there though and it was pretty cool. His balcony drops off into the river below and had an awesome view.

after that we stopped at wine vineyard. It was closed but the guy working in the hills with his dog came over and let us in. The sun was setting and it was really beautiful even though the grapes weren’t in season yet.

the next day I hung out at a cocktail bar. The drinks were kind of meh but the guy made some off menu stuff. Really hipster spot. The menu needed like this black light pen to read it. Kinda corny. But he spoke English well so I stayed for awhile. Flew back the next day. I think 3 days was enough to get a good feel for Moldova. I did get a lot of ‘what in the world are you doing here’.
oh well.
