Greater Hartford School Choice Assistance

Literacy Volunteers of Greater Hartford has partnered with the Regional School Choice Office (RSCO) to provide families with information and assistance regarding School Choice in Greater Hartford.

RSCO offers families the power to choose a school or program outside their home district for their child to attend. More than 20,000 students from Greater Hartford are enrolled in a choice school. If you are looking for high-quality, unique public school learning opportunities for your child, then the RSCO school choice system is for you!

RSCO offers students entering Pre-Kindergarten through Grade 12 with a wide array of choices, including Open Choice districts, magnet schools, technical high schools, and agricultural science and technology high Schools, that meet the individual needs of students and families.

RSCO makes it easy to apply, and families are strongly encouraged to submit applications during the on-time application period, December 3, 2024 – February 7, 2025, for the best chance of receiving a placement offer. Use the online platform at ChooseYourSchool.org to explore schools and manage applications for all your children.
