Grand Prize - $10,000

Given to the team with the top project that solves this question: How can technology improve opportunities for local job seekers looking for positions in tech companies?

Criteria:

  • Teams of 3
  • Need a minimum viable product or demo concept
  • Must be built over the weekend
  • You cannot submit something that you started before the hackathon.   
MiamiCoin Challenge - $5,000
  • 1st place: $3,000
  • 2nd place: $1,500
  • 3rd place: $500
Criteria: The judges will select three winners (1st, 2nd, 3rd place), which will be chosen on the basis of: Impact - how applicable is the application for real world situations? How will it affect the lives of citizens?
  1. Creativity - how unique or innovative is the project? Has it been done before?
  2. Ease of use - does the project work well? Is the implementation well-designed?
  Submission Ideas:
  • DAO Payroll — A way to manage a payroll for the MiamiCoin DAO.
  • Build a platform for DAO reputation
  • DAO governance analytics dashboard
  • Local Artist NFT store - We’ve already “minted” $200,000 worth of art using CityCoins to date. This platform could empower local artists to build direct fan-bases and earn new sources of income.
  • Daily NFT Auction – proceeds going to improving public spaces in Miami.
  • Build a proof of concept for a CityCash stablecoin. A native payment token on the CityCoins network can be used in decentralized applications and provide easier onboarding for residents.
  • Hodl Score: Create an on-chain Hodl Score that measures inputs such as: total historical earnings, total earnings held, date of first earnings, date of most recent earnings.
Clarity Challenge - $2,000
BASIC:Develop a Basic Smart Contract in the Clarity Programming Language $50 USD to the top 5 projects submitted. INTERMEDIATE:Develop an Intermediate Smart Contract in the Clarity Programming Language $100 USD to the top 5 projects submitted. ADVANCED: Develop an advanced Smart Contract in the Clarity Programming Language $250 USD to top 5 projects submitted   Clarity Bounties:
  • Design - is the code well-structured?
  • Functionality - does the project work well?
  • Creativity - has it been done before? How unique is the project?
  • Security - is the contract properly tested?
  • Documentation - does the project have a readme? Is the code commented?  
Near Protocol Challenge - $6,000
Build a fungible token smart contract on NEAR where blockchain community members can get awarded tokens for advising and mentoring local job seekers looking for positions in tech companies.
