Hi, I’m Ernesto. I started Malagon in 2008 to support organizations taking on meaningful work. I stay close to every project, bringing strategic clarity and creative instincts to each partnership.
Growing up between two cultures, I learned to tune in to patterns, adapt to context, and move fluidly between disciplines. That sensibility shapes how I work today, partnering with teams across education, health, climate, community, and culture.
I live in Austin with my wife and two kids, building a joyful life among tacos, art supplies, and cedar allergies.
Malagon is named after
the funny-shaped problems.
Every organization arrives with its own complexity. We don’t force a template onto it. We listen closely, adapt, and uncover the brand identity that's been waiting to take shape.
That’s what Malagon means to us: a studio built to transform with each challenge. Small by design, flexible by nature.
(The name itself: a mashup of ‘malleable’ and ‘polygon’—borrowed from a taxi driver's last name and reshaped into something new.)
