Interested in delightfully bratty and increasingly exasperated recaps of the entire Sweet Valley High book series?
MARGO RISING is a snarky SVH blog that was first introduced as SVH Bitchin’ in April 2008. Its purpose was to serve as a place for Stef, the author of this blog, to recap every book in the series in a delightfully bratty and inappropriate way. The goal was to do so by Jan. 1, 2010, even if it meant slogging through yet another far-fetched magna edition featuring ill-fated teenagers and a Liz-and-Todd fight. If ever there was evidence of Stef’s level of commitment, let this be it.
The blog switched to a new web address and more polite title in February 2009. The current title pays tongue-in-cheek homage to one of the more notoriously asinine plot lines in the series involving murderous Margo and her thwarted mission [1] [2].
On the bittersweet day of Nov. 3, 2009, Stef finished reading the last of the Sweet Valley High books. If anyone needs an example of a Pyrrhic victory, here it is.
