About us

Who we are

Maldives Transport & Contracting Company (MTCC) was founded on December 18, 1980, with the mission of delivering essential infrastructure to drive social and economic progress. Initially, MTCC supported the growing tourism, trade, and fisheries sectors with transport services, engines, and spare parts. Over four decades, we have become the largest civil and marine contractor and the leading provider of land and sea transport in the Maldives. Our work has been vital to the rapid growth of the Maldivian economy by developing key infrastructure, expanding transport networks, and modernizing the fisheries sector. Today, our portfolio includes airports, roads, and large-scale dredging and reclamation projects. We continue to support the marine industry by providing reliable engines, equipment, and services for transport and fisheries sectors. Our extensive transport networks facilitate the movement of people and goods nationwide. By anticipating future needs and setting industry standards, we shape the nation’s infrastructure and economy. Through strategic investments and new technologies, we are committed to quality, sustainability, and diversification, maintaining our status as the key player in building and connecting the nation.
