Behold
Following Jesus from Gethsemane and Golgotha to the Empty Grave
Behold is a forty-day devotional to help you see Jesus better to savor Jesus more deeply. This book is designed to lead the reader through the Lenten season, up to Easter, and beyond, but it can be read at any time in the year. Starting with Jesus' triumphal entry into Jerusalem on Palm Sunday, each chapter of the devotional will look at a different episode of Passion Week.
The word "passion" is used to refer to Christ's sufferings (Acts 1:3). However, these sufferings are not just limited to His beatings and crucifixion. From Gethsemane to Golgotha, and all the way to the empty grave, Jesus endured hatred, humiliation, rejection, abandonment, injustice, and more. And, if we stop long enough to behold Him, we gain a greater appreciation of our Savior and grow more in love with Him.
