Stenium (gresk stenos, 'smal') er den siste geologiske perioden i mesoproterozoikum. Han varte i perioden som byrja for 1200 millionar år sidan og enda for 1000 millionar år sidan. Perioden er ikkje basert på stratigrafi, men definert kronometrisk.

Namnet kjem av dei smale polymetamorfe belta som blei danna i denne perioden.

Superkontinentet Rodinia samla seg under stenium.

Det eldste dømet me kjenner på kjønna formeiring er funne i fossil frå denne perioden.
