(THE PREVIOUS SEIRYUU) AO | AKATSUKI NO YONA

Born with what was called an accursed power in his village. Ao was the Seiryuu/Azure Dragon until Shin-Ah was born. Presumably, Ao was raised by the Seiryuu before him, as tradition dictated. He wore a mask to cover his eyes, to "seal" the power of the Azure Dragon. He started to slowly lose his powers after Shin-Ah's birth, and with it, lost more and more of his eyesight. He knew nothing of taking care of children, but was made to take care of Shin-Ah after the child's birth, none the less. After all, tradition is everything. When he finally went blind, he was happy, because he had "finally become human,"
