The Space Grunts: Chrono Shard Demo offers a high-stakes preview of the tactical, turn-based action awaiting you in the final game. This demo grants you access to several early-game missions, allowing you to test your survival instincts against the unknown.
As seen in the game’s intro, this whole mess was because of Ooze slipping through a space time Hypergate. Weirdly we have never found that exact location of the Hypergate until now! Grab the new version of Gauntlet of Power and jump through that Hypergate!

The dungeons have never looked cleaner! As we polish up the Gauntlet of Power game and getting it ready for release. This week we added character unlock tokens, Rune’s and an unexpected visit in the new intro animation!

Work on Space Grunts 3 continued some more in the first week of January 2024, so space got more animated with characters, enemy intelligence, and an inventory system!
First week of the year, juggling a bunch of projects, but I decided to focus on the new prototype and get it up and running before the next few weeks will be all about the main projects again.
With Gauntlet of Power and Regulator City going towards release states, it was time to start thinking about the next thing. And then over the holidays tinker with it a bit, resulting in Space Grunts 3 !
A, long overdue, post-mortem on Residual, the game that had a Kickstarter, had a publisher, and was the Orangepixel game that took the longest to develop (before Regulator City which is currently still in development!)

Heroes of Loot was originally released on mobile in 2013, followed by versions on PC, PS Vita, Switch, Ouya, and many other platforms. It was one of the fastest selling Orangepixel games, becoming profitable in a few days. So was it worth it doing a sequel?
What started as a cool idea, turned into an interesting amount of code and learning how to make AI controlled squad members for single player games!
Sometimes game elements and code just doesn’t fit the game, and then you have to do the painful thing: delete it and move on!
Before 2023 comes to an end, Orangepixel releases one more Atari VCS game: Stardash brings it’s catchy chiptune music, the gameboy retro-graphics and a challenging platforming gameplay to the retro-console.
