Last N900 stylus post (probably).
Oct. 22nd, 2013 09:41 amWhen I made my pen stylus I knew it was fatally flawed, because it didn't have any way to use ink refills since it actually WAS an ink refill. Despite being used sparingly, it stopped writing! I was hoping it would last much longer...

The housing was created from the tube of an empty normal size ink refill.

But now it has a replaceable ink refill!

The stylus tip can also be removed and replaced.

Despite some very tight tolerances I somehow hand drilled the new pen cap nicely.

I wasn't done. I attempted to do the same was the older version of the stylus and proceeded to rip off the old ink tip. Unfortunately, there was still plenty of ink in the tube. Several ink covered fingers later I ended up with another refillable pen stylus.

The smaller ink refills actually have a thicker tip, so I enlarged the hole for the cap. It doesn't look as nice as the last one but gives a satisfying "click" when it's placed. I might also butcher the tip on this one to turn it into something better and replaceable. It never hurts to have a backup.
