Outright Vermont and the Vermont Human Rights Commission are hosting a virtual Info Session on Tuesday, June 24th from 5:00pm - 6:30 pm! This session is tailored to parents & caregivers, but LGBTQ+ and allied youth are also welcome to attend. Pre-registration is required by Thursday, June 19th. This event will be held online.

This Conference, organized by Out In The Open, Outright Vermont and Pride Center of Vermont, will create a collaborative space to host the many intersections of health and wellness work within the 2STLGBQIA+ people-centered care models.
Join us for a viewing of the short film There Are Things To Do, celebrating the activism of Urvashi Vaid. “??Urvashi Vaid, an immigrant, lesbian, woman of color & LGBTQ+ superhero helped shape the gay rights movement. Her life with partner Kate Clinton & vision serves as a roadmap for generations facing anti-LGBTQ+ backlash.”
Middle and high-school students from around Vermont can share questions and experiences, and think together about how to feel hopeful and keep our communities safe during scary and uncertain times.
We will share accurate information and resources in the wake of the recent Executive Orders. We will cover health care access, advocacy and state-level legislative work, and how families can support youth through this moment.

We are heartbroken to share the tragic loss of Lucas Avery Amery Knapp, known to many as Luca, who served as Kitchen Lead at Camp Outright in 2015 and 2016. Luca was a beloved member of our Camp Outright community, and someone who helped shape the feeling of camp in ways both seen and unseen.
Day of Silence is a national, silent protest against discrimination, harassment, bullying, and mistreatment of LGBTQ+ community members. I want to encourage Vermont to practice silence on Friday, April 10th this year to protest for the right of respect for members of the LGBTQ+ community.
Yesterday, many in our community experienced something that was extremely violent, shocking, and deeply painful. For those most directly impacted - especially immigrant communities - and for the neighbors who experienced or witnessed the events, the presence of ICE in a South Burlington neighborhood, taking members of our community with the support of state police, brought fear, violence, and uncertainty into a place that should feel safe.
Youth Organizers are LGBTQ+ and allied youth ages 13 - 19 who work together to champion LGBTQ+ liberation through legislative and policy advocacy, supporting statewide events, and having a ton of fun learning together! Applications are due Monday, June 1.
