A citywide celebration of light and art
Every February, the Portland Winter Light Festival fills Portland with light-based installations, performances, and live events across 100+ locations. Downtown, neighborhoods, unexpected corners, all of it lit up.
It’s about getting people out in the middle of winter. Into the streets, into shared spaces, into something that feels alive. It changes how the city feels.
Right now, we’re building the 2027 Festival. Our call for artists, performers, designers, venues, and community partners opens in June (dates coming soon).
What people said after the 2026 Festival:
“This festival is a gem for Portland and her future.”
“Downtown felt alive and magical.”
“A love letter to the city, full of wonder and community.”
Be part of what’s next. If you make work, shape spaces, or want to be involved, this is where it starts. Join us when the call opens in June.
LIGHT THE MORRISON BRIDGE IN YOUR COLORS
Celebrate something special by illuminating the Morrison Bridge: a birthday, an anniversary, a tribute, an event, a memorial, or a cause close to your heart.
Every bridge lighting brightens the skyline and supports the Willamette Light Brigade, the nonprofit that produces the Portland Winter Light Festival.
