Amin is short for Benjamin. He/him.
An opinionated, massively-parallel hobbyist and storyteller, I love my bicycle and fountain pens. Having just finished my degree in Communication from Texas A&M, I plan to spend 2026 as a full-time freelance writer and see where things go from there.
No matter how often I insist that I'm not an extraterrestrial being with dual citizenship from Titan and Venus on a deep cover mission to prevent the next Martian invasion, my friends never quite believe me.

My #WritingMonth goal for this November:
I have this cute 48-page notebook, I plan to fill it with a story idea I've been toying with, using my fountain pen.
I finished the scarf I was making!
I will repeat this as many times as I need to: no matter how terrible you think your writing is, I would far rather read it than anything that came out of an LLM.
Some replies to large threads are getting 502 errors from the server despite the actual post going through, so people are trying again and again resulting in multiple replies. I'm not sure why this is happening, and I don't have the mental energy to debug right now, I apologize…

Not much to report this week, but next week will be more exciting.
Dug out an old point-and-shoot digital camera from a drawer in my mom's office that I used to use a decade ago. She says that if I get it running, I can use it.
The biggest factor, I think, will be if I can get it to hold a charge. We shall see. If so, I'll share more info about it.
Kinda hilarious that the next chapter in the book I'm reading is estimated to take several hours to go through, but I'm avoiding certain unread entries in my RSS reader because they are estimated to take a whopping eight minutes to read.
I am a bit glum and I’m not sure why.
I'm going to turn out the lights, read a bit on my kindle, and hopefully fall asleep soon.

Hm, I've been posting less on my private alt account, I think because I'm less stressed now that school is done. I still want to keep it around and I'm still in love with the idea, but I just dunno what to post about over there when I'm not feeling stressed and anxious.

It takes a lot for me to give up on a computer. When I'm done with them, we put them up on a spike as a warning to the others.
When was the last time you used a website’s “back to top” link or button? I’m realizing I always use built-in OS options (home key on computer, tap the top bar on iOS)
My family's home is up a hill, a 70-meter climb. Very fun on the way to places on my bicycle, not nearly as fun on the way back.
Bought some tempeh this morning to experiment with in my cooking. Costed me RM2 (less than $0.50) for a small block of it.
Just cycled 10km, including a 180m climb up Pearl Hill. Exhausting on the way up but very rewarding on the way back, where I hardly had to touch the pedals.
