Pressure

A fast way to monitor your (swap)memory

Overview

Keep an eye on your Mac’s memory with Pressure, a handy menu bar app that lives in the top-right corner of your screen. On systems with 16GB of memory, it’s common to start using swap memory over time. While that’s not inherently a problem, it can make your Mac feel less responsive.
Pressure makes this easy to spot. Whenever swap memory is in use, the amount is displayed directly in the menu bar. If notifications are enabled in System Settings, Pressure can also alert you when swap usage increases.

If you prefer a more detailed view, you can open Pressure as a windowed app to monitor your memory usage more closely.
