Project ECHO, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. All contributions are tax-deductible.
Each $30 donation provides a night of food and shelter for a man, woman, or child experiencing homelessness in our community. On behalf of these men, women, and families, we thank you for your generosity!
Financial support is always at the top of our needs list. Whether you’re able to give $1 or $100, every dollar makes a difference and is deeply appreciated. To make a tax-deductible monetary donation, there are several easy ways to give:

Prepared Meals:
Local faith communities, civic groups, ministries, and generous families provide lunch and dinner for our shelter residents on a rotating schedule. Thanks to their incredible support, our residents are well cared for — but there is always room for additional meal partners.
If you’re interested in becoming a designated meal provider, please email us at [email protected] for more information.
Please note: When providing dinner, please prepare enough food to feed 40. When providing lunch, please prepare for 20.
Groceries:
Just like any household, we rely on pantry staples and fresh ingredients to keep our kitchen running. Donations of pantry items, condiments, spices, snacks, and fresh produce are always appreciated.
Please note: We are unable to accept opened or expired items.
Event Leftovers:
Hosting a gathering and unsure what to do with the leftovers? Call us at 410-535-0044. If food has been properly prepared, handled, and stored at safe temperatures — and if we have available space — we are happy to put it to good use.
There’s truth to the old saying “time is money” because time really is one of the most valuable gifts we can give. Every day our volunteers make it possible for us to stretch our resources further so more of every dollar goes directly to supporting our clients. Paper products and cleaning supplies are always at the top of our list. These everyday essentials keep our shelter clean, safe, and running smoothly for the families we serve. Our Wish List staples:
Toilet paper & paper towels
55-gallon & 13-gallon trash bags
Dish soap & laundry detergent
All-purpose cleaners & disinfectants
Project ECHO’s Thrift & Gift Shop supports shelter programs by providing the community with a welcoming, trusted place to donate and shop for gently used treasures. Every purchase helps fund vital services, and through our voucher program, shelter residents and clients can select clothing and essential household items with dignity—free from financial worry.
Donations of clothing and household goods can be delivered directly to our thrift shop at 885 Main Street. Here, we have the space and dedicated staff to properly receive, sort, and organize your generous contributions. Please note donation hours & guidelines below.
Drop- off hours are 10am – 2pm on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays. Donation hours are subject to change based upon available space and extreme weather conditions.
When you have a large quantity of items or want to verify donation hours please call ahead to ensure that we’re able to accept your delivery: 443-975-7376. (We don’t always have someone available to answer the phone, so please be patient with us.) You can also contact us via email and Facebook messenger.
ALL donated items must be clean, in good condition, and (when applicable) fully functioning.

In the busy months of November and December, we’re making holiday preparations for a household of 40+ people. During this time, we can only accept the following items:
New or Handmade items with tags or in sealed packaging
Consumables: fresh produce, bakery items, and prepared meals
Preparing for the holidays requires all of our available space. Normal donation procedures typically resume in late January.
Thank you for your understanding and continued support.
Want to help us make the most of your donation dollars? Process your donation through Givebutter and elect to cover the credit card transaction fee. This way, 100% of your donation goes to its intended purpose. Givebutter is able to offer this service free to nonprofits by collecting tips from donors. The tip jar is a built-in feature, but tipping is entirely optional.
