Support Tools and Recommendations
Behavioral Therapy: Talk therapy can help children, teens, and adults build attentional skills, manage impulsivity, and regulate emotions. We often recommend Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) as an effective approach for those managing ADHD symptoms.
Medication Consultation: Stimulant and non-stimulant medications may be helpful depending on the individual. While we don’t prescribe medication, we can refer you to trusted medical providers for further consultation.
Integrative / Naturopathic Medicine Consultation: There are alternative and complementary approaches to supporting individuals with ADHD; these may include neurofeedback, biofeedback, supplements, and transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS). These therapies are often chosen when traditional medication management is not indicated or desired. We help educate families about these treatments and assist in referring to appropriate providers.
Academic Accommodations: Students may benefit from support such as extended testing time, movement breaks, reduced-distraction environments, or access to sensory tools. Some individuals may benefit from working with an Executive Functioning Coach. Our evaluations include the documentation needed to request these accommodations and supports.
Parent and Family Support: Parents and caregivers can play a key role in creating supportive routines and managing ADHD-related behaviors. We offer guidance and referrals for parent training, behavioral coaching, and other helpful resources.
Our goal is not just to identify ADHD, but to equip each individual and their loved ones, with practical tools and a personalized path forward.
