QuitApp

Decide for each watched application when to quit

Don’t let unused applications keep running. Too many active applications can slow down your Mac since each one consumes memory. For applications you only use occasionally, add them to QuitApp and set how long they should remain idle before automatically quitting.

Which ones

Timeout

Each application you add can have its own timeout setting.

Forced quit?

Select for each application if we need it to quit even when it hangs (Forced quit).

Countdown Timer

Live countdown timer showing time until auto-quit for running applications.
The timeout only applies when the application is not used

Notify

You can select to be notified just before an application will quit.

Drag and Drop

You can add an application by dragging it onto the list, by using the + button or via the menu (or its global shortcut) when an application is in the foreground.

Shortcuts

Define you shortcuts for opening the editor and adding an application to the list.

Hide Menu Bar Icon

Run QuitApp without a menu bar icon for a cleaner menu bar. Requires a keyboard shortcut for 'Open Editor' to be set. Once hidden, use the shortcut, double-click the app, or drag QuitApp to the Dock for quick access.

Always Up-to-Date

QuitApp automatically removes an application from your watch list when it no longer exists on disk, keeping your list clean without any manual housekeeping.
