About Me
Ron Book’s creative approach to managing local government affairs has fostered the organization’s impact and associations far beyond the Florida state legislature, including into city and county lawmaking bodies throughout the Sunshine State. This is one reason why Ronald L. Book, P.A., remains a rare example of firms able to offer high-level regulatory representation to clients in the halls of state government, as well as areas of strength for large local citizen advocacy groups.
Mr. Book’s hidden association with the state’s policymaking field began during the 1970s when he went to work for the Florida State Legislature. Ron would later gain firsthand official branch experience filling in as Outstanding Director and head of Regulatory Affairs.
With expertise spanning various fields such as economic development, environmental policy, housing, transportation, and healthcare, he has been instrumental in guiding public policy for over forty years. His approach to local government representation has notably broadened the firm’s reach, extending its influence beyond the Florida state Capitol.
Ron’s political career began in the 1970s with the Florida State Legislature, leading to a pivotal role as Special Counsel in Governor Bob Graham’s administration. His subsequent tenure at Sparber, Shevin, Shapo, Heilbronner & Book, P.A., in Miami further anchored his position in Florida’s political landscape.
His involvement in numerous statewide political campaigns, including the influential “Five for Florida’s Future” campaign and key referendums, showcases his political acumen and impact on Florida’s legislative direction. In addition to lobbying, Ronald L. Book, P.A. provides comprehensive consulting services in strategic planning, business development, and regulatory navigation, leveraging his extensive network of political and business relationships.
