Mentors matter. That is the one thing I actually learned when I was starting my previous company, Rockstart, back in the day.
Getting back to Rubik Hub, I have to acknowledge this enormous group of mentors. I realize it is the core of what we do – surround founders with the best people, who are mentors that are willing to give their time, their network, their knowledge, and their skills to founders.
I was impressed by the fact that you didn’t manage just to break the boundaries of Piatra Neamt and of Romania, and now apparently you’re also conquering other countries from Europe – and I want to congratulate you for that.
It’s impressive to see your ability to find so many interesting startups from the region. This proves your network and your team’s ability to find and search for talent beyond Romanian borders too.
I’ve known Rubik Hub ever since it started, and I can say that every year it just gets better. It’s amazing what the Rubik team has managed to build in Piatra Neamt, but now that they have brought it to Bologna and given it an international spin, it’s even more amazing.
Which makes me wonder, can we actually create a leading accelerator in Europe? And I think we can.
When I met the Rubik Hub community, I really felt impressed by the “give before you get” and today I’m experiencing this mentality because you have been able to do that in Italy, a foreign country by fostering a cross-border community in innovation. That’s really useful and interesting for me, coming from financial services, to watch similar patterns in HealthCare.
You are really doing a great job by helping startups to build products and to find first customers.

Rubik Hub has the keys if you want to open doors. For us, the biggest value was in making ourselves known in the Romanian ecosystem. Through Rubik Hub, we made the connections to enable that.
I believe this is one of the best communities I’ve ever interacted with in terms of startup builders. And I’ve been in many communities, many accelerator programs. And I think this one has definitely surpassed the human-centric, value-driven experience.
