Hazel T. Biana is a faculty member of the Department of Philosophy at De La Salle University-Manila, and a Research Fellow of the Southeast Asia Research Center and Hub (SEARCH) and the Social Development Research Center (SDRC).

This 2023, she and her team are working on the prototype development of SafeHer: A Women Mobility and Empowerment App with the aid of a grant from the International Development Research Centre, Ottawa, Canada.

Her research interests are diverse and interdisciplinary, with topics on intersectionality, feminist philosophy, artificial intelligence, and cultural criticism. She is also interested in the philosophy of place.

Rosallia Domingo is a lecturer and a doctoral candidate in Philosophy at De La Salle University-Manila, Philippines. She holds a Master of Arts in Philosophy from the same university and a Master of Arts in Gender Studies from the Central European University, Budapest, Hungary.

Her current research involves addressing algorithmic bias in facial recognition technologies, with a focus on auto-essentialization and the integration of decolonial feminist perspectives for effective bias mitigation.

Dr. Homer J. Yabut is a licensed psychologist, certified social psychologist, and an associate professor of the Department of Psychology of the DLSU College of Liberal Arts, from which he obtained his Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology major in Industrial Counseling and M.S. Psychology major in Clinical Psychology. His research interests are in religion and spirituality, collective actions, religious mass gatherings, and political psychology.

He is the project director of the SDRC study “Comprehensive Mapping, Assessment and Enrichment of the DSWD Case Management Systems and Practices” and has previously been a research associate in the Center’s studies “Communication Analysis on Material and Neonatal Health with Emphasis on the Role of Community Health Teams in Facilitating the Adoption of Positive Behaviors in the Context of Conflict and Rapid Urbanization in Selected LGUs,” “Reclaiming Filipino Indigenous Cultures through Teaching and Learning,” “Comprehensive Study on Scholarship and Student Financial Assistance Programs in the Philippines,” and “Health Facility Assessment of Zuellig Family Foundation’s Donated Barangay Health Stations and Birthing Units: Progress Report and Initial Assessment.”

Dr. Melvin A. Jabar is a Full Professor of the Department of Sociology and Behavioral Sciences and the Former Director of the Social Development Research Center of De La Salle University-Manila (2013-2014; 2019-2023). Dr. Jabar obtained his Ph. D. in Asia Pacific Studies from the Ritsumeikan Asia Pacific University in Japan, and his Master of Health Social Science from DLSU. He is the holder of the PAGCOR Professorial Chair in Human Development and Tranquilino H. Valderrama Sr. Professorial Chair in Humanities.

Shaina Dimaapi is a dedicated UX/UI Designer with 3 years of experience in delivering intuitive user experiences and impactful designs. She graduated from Ateneo de Manila University with a degree in Management Information Systems and a specialization in Data Science and Analytics.

Currently, she is a UX Designer for a leading eyewear brand in the Philippines. By understanding the unique needs and preferences of their users, she has contributed to the development of inclusive and accessible designs enabling users to effortlessly navigate the brand’s website and digital touch points.

Salie is the app’s consultant when it comes to driving inclusive growth within communities.
