NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SINGLE SOURCE CONTRACT

The Sanibel Public Library District provides notice of its intent to award a single source contract with a value of $66,445.00 to StreetLeaf Distribution LLC for the removal of 11 existing light poles and the installation of 11 solar-powered street lights.

  • Applicable local ordinances and resolutions

BACKGROUND / DISCUSSION

The Sanibel Public Library District has completed a due diligence review and intends to procure solar-powered street lighting from StreetLeaf Distribution LLC without conducting a competitive solicitation process for the following reasons:

  • StreetLeaf’s unique solar and battery-powered system allows fast deployment of resilient lighting infrastructure at lower cost than grid-tied alternatives.
  • Solar operation eliminates the need for trenching and conduit.
  • The integrated service model reduces both upfront and ongoing maintenance costs.
  • The system aligns with the Library’s facility goals of resiliency, energy independence, and sustainable community infrastructure.

NOTICE TO OTHER VENDORS

Any company that believes it can provide this good or service must submit detailed information about its product or service to the Sanibel Public Library District at director@sanlib.org no later than October 30, 2025 at 3:00 PM for consideration.
