Adventures in Sauerkraut - Part 2
Jan. 16th, 2012 06:43 am So, I may have had extra sauerkraut from the Bavarian Pork Chops recipe. And I don't know about you, but the ingredients from that recipe certainly sounded like the ingredients to a really good rye bread. And I had 8 hours until the pork chops were done. And I have a bread machine. You know where this is going.
Sauerkraut Rye Bread
1 cup sauerkraut, well drained
3/4 warm water
1 Tablespoon molasses
1 Tablespoon oil
2 1/4 cups bread flour
1 cup rye flour
2 Tablespoons packed brown sugar
1 teaspoon caraway seeds
1 1/2 teaspoon bread machine yeast
Add all ingredients in order. Run it on the Basic/White bread setting.
