- This page is about applications for ranks in the game. For applications for the SCR Wiki, see Project:Staff.
Ranks above Guard, and the Moderator role, require an application to obtain them. Below contains information about applications for each position.
The links to the applications are not listed here as it is a requirement for all applicants to be in the SCR Official Discord Server to apply. Links can be found in the #application-forms channel for non-development-related ranks, and on the Roblox Talent Hub for ranks of the Innovations department.
The application review process consists of the applications being processed by the Community Director, followed by the reading process. This process involves the theory section being automatically marked, the scenario questions being read and marked by App Readers, and the line managers reading App Reader passed applications in full, including personality questions, to determine the passers.[1][2]
Signaller
[]
If applicants pass the application, they will be asked to take part in a practical assessment. Before that, the applicant will be trained with both theory and practical sessions. This role brings some permissions in-game to control traffic and to prevent misuse of the railway.
Applicants must be a Guard or a Supervisor to apply for this role.
This application will soon be built-in for <13 players and other players who do not have a Discord account due to the addition of Training 2.0 for Signaller.
Supervisor (Driving Department)
[]
This Supervisor role is senior to Drivers (Trainee Drivers and Qualified Drivers) and involves assisting with the training of new Qualified Drivers and working with the rest of the staff team. Driving Department Supervisors get moderation permissions in-game to keep the game running smoothly.
Applicants must be a Qualified Driver or above to apply for this role.
Supervisor (Dispatching Department)
[]
This Supervisor role is senior to Dispatchers and involves assisting with the training of new Dispatchers and working with the rest of the staff team. Dispatching Department Supervisors get moderation permissions in-game to keep the game running smoothly.
Applicants must be a Dispatcher or above to apply for this role.

Applicants must be a Signaller to apply for this role.
Moderator[]
The Moderator role involves moderating in the Discord server, although it does not involve moderating in-game. They get extra permissions to help manage the community and its wellbeing (i.e. commands for the SCR discord) .
Applicants must be a Qualified Driver or above to apply for this role.
App Reader[]
This application is only available for Supervisors. This role is a sub-team role and provides no extra in-game benefits. App Readers read the scenario questions of applications of their department. If a Supervisor from the Signalling Department has this role, they can read both Signalling Department Supervisor and Signaller applications.
Applicants must be a Supervisor to apply for this role. Details about applications of this role are confidential and not revealed to the public.
Product Developer
[]
The Product Developer rank is the rank given to all players involved in creating and contributing content for Stepford County Railway. Developers are not involved with any operational departments and thus do not get the permissions of these departments.
This application is open to any Roblox account.
Game Developer
[]
The Game Developer rank is the rank given to the manager of the developers. Their tasks are identical to the ones of the Developer rank, but expanded with duties to manage the Innovations department. The Technical Lead keeps in contact with the Directors to report progress. Like Developers, they are not involved with any operational departments.
This application is open to any Roblox account.
