Free Motion or Straight Lines?

What is your favourite type of quilting?

Do you like the freedom of Free Motion or are you more of a straight lines kinda quilter?

Usually I quilt with fm in mind but  right now I'm stepping out of my comfort zone with straight lines in a chevron design  on my son's quilt. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that all goes well.

Wristlets...handsfree & handy

I have to add a few of these to my Christmas gift basket.

My kiddos like to give these to their teachers, E.A.s, the librarians,

lunchroom monitors &  school bus drivers.

They are for a bank/credit card and you can attach your keys as well

for a quick trip out of the house when you don't want to take a purse.

One gal last year uses her's for her keys and plastic baggies when she takes  her dog for a walk!

Another WIP

This one has been in the works for a good year if not more!

My motivation to complete this is that the cold weather will soon be knocking on our door.

This quilt is going to be a donation to a local woman's shelter.

I'll post a pic when it's finished.

I had fun creating this little gal from an upcycled wool skirt,

some scrap leather, a bit of cotton and felt!

Funky Dog Coats

I'm back to making dog coats for the local shelter.

This little number is lined with purple flannel.

I love this print. I wish I knew the name of it though!
