If you are after fanfic, you will find it here on DW at [community profile] sharpiepen. Take a look at my fic index.

Remixing/Transformations of my work I don't mind if other people want to remix my fic, or podfic it, draw it or whatever else. And I would love you to link me to whatever you produce (after all, I'd love to know that you liked my work so much you wanted to remix it/podfic it/illustrate it/whatever). I'm not particularly a podfic listener, but I think podficcing is a great thing to do! I'd really like to drop by and leave you a comment of thanks, though. We all like to know our work is appreciated, after all.

Podficcers!
(Borrowed from [personal profile] akamine_chan)
If you want to produce podfic of my work, please do! If you need to change word, word order, add or omit dialogue tags, or otherwise bend, crease or man-handle one of my fics to work better for you, go right ahead. If you'd like me to make edits specifically for you, feel free to ask.

This is tricky work that deserves recognition, so I would really dig it if you mentioned it in notes, wherever you would normally have notes: "this fic is by [author] with (additions/alterations/ease-of-podfic transformations/contributions/however you want to describe it) by [your name]", or "adapted for podfic by [you] from a work by [author]" or whatever -- whether that's in your post or in the "headers" in the podfic.

If you would like me to link back to your podfic from the original text, just let me know where to link so I can let folks know 'Podfic available here'!

Friending me My DW is mostly Friends-Only. If you want to read it all, please comment in the open entry you will find inside. I may not friend you right away if you don't comment, it's nothing personal. If you don't comment and we have nothing in common, then I probably won't friend you back. Again, this isn't personal.

Repeat spammers WILL BE BLOCKED, so don't even think about it. It's not clever and does not show any intelligence whatsoever.

If you think you might want to be friends, the rest of this profile will (hopefully) tell you enough about me before you click that fatal button.

Who am I? I'm in my forrties and single. I'm a Christian, although I don't post much about that. I read a lot, and should maybe move into a library just to have enough bookshelves.

I have always been interested in Ancient history, but only became interested in the Napoleonic era because of Sharpe. I now re-enact as a soldier in the 50th Regiment and have learned more history since starting to dress up re-enact than I learned at school. Plus, it's fun! It also serves as a outlet for my obsession with Redcoats...

I'm a fan of Sean Bean's Sharpe series. When I ran out of Sharpe stuff to read/watch, I moved onto Hornblower and the Age of Sail generally. My other interests include reading, writing and listening to music. I find local history (in my case, Kent of 200 years ago) fun too. This is useful for other AoS fans who can't get to see places like Chatham.

I'm a (fairly) active member of the Master and Commander and Sharpe fandoms. Any fandom stuff I do will be posted in communities for those fandoms, or my fanfic journals, rather than in my personal journal. Just so you know. My main area of interest is the British side of the Peninsular War, and I have more than a passing interest in the Royal Marines of the day.

As part of my drive to get more AoS content here on Dreamwidth, I am the founder (sounds posh!!) and current editor of the Dreamwidth edition of [community profile] despatches
