Hey, I’m making an app and I think I would want to call it recall. Would u be willing to sell the name or change yours. If so let me know. Thank you. Have a good one, cool apps also.
Thanks
Andy
The name is still available in UK English, and I just submitted an update changing the name of my app to “RECALL” (all uppercase), which might make the Canadian English name available (not sure).
I am preparing a book for publication, probably by a university press. We have ourselves in a bit of a bind. The book deals with an historical event. Sometimes we used present tense, but usually past tense. We want it in present tense. I am intrigued by your Tense Tool for writers. The text is in MS word docx files on a Windows machine. Would it be possible to use it, and if so how? I also have a MacBook Pro which is running Windows 7 under book camp, but can, of course, also be used as an Apple machine. We would certainly acknowledge your product in the text (which I’ll describe to you if you would like).
I do not know of any way to run the app, as it is, without an iOS device. However, your comment motivated me to finally make a Mac version, which should be available for free on the Mac App Store in about a week (perhaps sooner).
If you follow the link below, you should now be able to download and run the app on your Mac. Good luck with your book; I hope this helps!
Many thanks for the link! However I’ve run into an issue. I can’t install it on my Macbook Pro. I’ve upgraded my OS to “El Capitan” (10.11) but can’t for some reason get to “Sierra” (10.12). And the app store tells me that your software only runs on Sierra — which I find peculiar since the photo with the “IS WAS” ad shows the demo with an “El Capitan” background. I have an appointment with the Apple Store on Friday and I hope they will be able to upgrade my Mac to “Sierra”. But I’m wondering if you have a version that runs on “El Capitan” that I could use? After all the work I’m really eager to try your invention out! And it might be that having your software available to earlier operating systems would increase its popularity and distribution.
P.S. This is a duplicate of an email I sent before this popped up. Sorry for duplicate message.
Dear Theodore,
I was at the local Apple Store (complaining about Apple’s decision not to allow Sierra to run on my MacBook Pro) when your mod allowing IS-WAS to run on El Capitan popped up! Many thanks.
1) I’d like to send you $25 now, maybe more when the book comes out. Prefer some way other than through iTunes. (But will.) Suggestion(s)?
2) Is there a way to make the text in your window larger? (I’m a Mac novice – the software I use (ESRI’s ArcGIS) doesn’t run on Mac, but on Windows under Bootcamp.) So I don’t know whatever trick, if any, to enlarge text.
Thanks,
Michael Kennedy kennedy@uky.edu
To make the text larger, you can either:
– Select all of your text using command-A and then use command plus-sign to change the size
…or…
– Select all text from Edit -> Select All and then change the size from Format -> Font -> Bigger.
If you have PayPal, you can send me money through this link: paypal.me/TheodoreMitchell/25
If that doesn’t work, I can try to think of a different way. Thanks a lot!
Many thanks. I think I have a PayPal account from years past. If not, Iâll open one.
How’s the book going?
Iâm slow, but Iâm sure. I have Paypal.com open. Iâve used it a couple of time so Iâm sure it works. But Iâm not sure what to do with âpaypal.me/TheodoreMitchell/25â. Suggestions?
Thanks,
Michael

$35.00 should have come through. Please let me know. Paypal may have got hung up verifying that I am me.
Nothing has come through yet; it must have gotten hung up.
I tried again. Let me know. I appreciate your help.
I donât think you will get two payments, but PayPal said it was sending you the first $35, but then got hung up verifying me. When the verification went back to PayPal it asked me to put in the $ amount again, but wouldnât let me. The second attempt went right through but didnât give me a box to leave a message. Grrrr. Iâve been programming computers since 1961 (and co-written text books on Fortran and other languages); it seems the quality of programming and attention to detail keeps going down. You, being interested in writing, might like to know about the unbelievable kludge that the MS Word Indexing system is. It seems to work ok. The only problem is it can give wrong answers without any warning! It is about the stupidest program Iâve seen in years â and thatâs saying a lot. Details if you are interested.
You will get an acknowledgement in the book once it comes out â about two months. The website that is developing for the book is http://www.vvm-beyondthewall.info
Thanks again,
Michael
Thanks a lot! I got a confirmation that that payment went through. I would like to hear about MS Word’s indexing system.

Sent you an email in regards to syncing issue between iPad & iPhone on iOS 11.4.1. Can sync one deck but not two.

Thanks a lot! I actually have the name in Canadian English, so if you’d like it in English, I’m guessing the owner of one of these two apps has it:
https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/recall-train-your-brain/id882587853?mt=8
https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/recall-rediscover-your-favorite/id653705782?mt=8

I updated the app so it should work on El Capitan now.
Many thanks. Michael
