When Everyday Life Feel Out of Sync
You want more out of life, but you're exhausted from trying so hard.
Maybe you're wondering:
-
Why do I still feel anxious, reactive, or emotionally exhausted if my faith is strong?
-
Do I need counseling . . . or just better tools and spiritual discipline?
-
Am I avoiding deeper healing — or over‑pathologizing normal stress?
-
Why do I understand truth intellectually, yet struggle to live it calmly and consistently?
Many women silently carry this tension — wanting growth, peace, joy, and wholeness, but unsure how to find their way forward and tap into the kind of help that is right for them.
StableMinded exists to remove that confusion.
A Clear Path Forward — Without Labels or Pressure
At STABLEMINDED, our work begins with mental health education, not diagnosis or treatment plan.
That is because we believe that when you are empowered with understanding, you'll find the motivation to accomplish the deep work of healing, resulting in authentic life transformation. Yes, you may need the support of a counselor. You may benefit from working with a coach. But first, you need to understand why you do what you do and feel what you feel
The problem is not what you've been through. It is about how you learned to survive.
Whether you feel like you have had a "pretty normal" life or can list a series of stressful events that left their mark, you inevitably learned how to exist in this world through what you experienced.
Life encounters have shaped your neuropathways and nervous system.
That shaping may have set you into a survival pattern that could be sabotaging your life today. You won't know if that is true, however, unless you know what to look for in your story. That is why Lisa Pulliam, the founder of StableMinded, is passionate about providing trauma-informed mental health education as the starting point for pursuing both personal and professional development.
When you get a grip on your story, you will discover what you need to become StableMinded and live your life with purpose.

Meet Lisa Pulliam
Lisa Pulliam is a trained coach and therapist turned mental health educator and well‑being strategist, bringing more than 20 years of experience in supporting growth-minded women passionate about pursuing authentic life transformation.
She is most passionate about integrating faith with neuropsychology, helping Christian women view their purpose through the context of their life story and God-designed wiring.
As a seasoned equestrian, she also believes that partnering with horses offers an invaluable opportunity for healing and interpersonal development, not only for fellow equestrians navigating life with and without horses, but also for anyone willing to experience the lessons these magnificent creatures are willing to help us learn.
Lisa brings forth extensive experience facilitating the growth process, not only as an equine professional but also as a trauma-informed counselor holding a Master's in Counseling Psychology, EMDR trained clinician, certified life coach, certified Natural Lifemanship equine-assisted therapist and coach, and a Highlands Ability Battery consultant. She is also a seasoned retreat speaker, published author, and podcaster.
While Lisa counts it a privilege to work with clients one-on-one in the coaching and counseling capacity, her primary focus is on providing mental health education through trainings, workshops, and individual well-being strategy sessions.
Lisa has discovered through her own journey out of survival, the gift of slowing down with her family and friends, as well as delighting in any time spent in the saddle or hanging out in the pasture with a herd of horses and humans.

Lisa gave me an invaluable experience working with her and Teddy. It was so special…the exposure and connection to a horse helped me to overcome some of my fear of horses and also made me aware of the times when fear shows up in my relationships and how I can navigate that in a healthier way.
Mary Taylor, Personal Vision Coaching & Restorative Retreat Client
This experience is the beginning of becoming the person I want to be. The work we did with and without the horses gave me such insights into decisions I need/ want to make and a clearer sense of being. Lisa was able to identify and show me how I was being present. She guided me through activities that helped me identify past and present behaviors that have prevented me from making decisions. The stables are located in one of the most beautiful areas and just being there invites a sense of calm. I can’t say enough about this experience, for me, it’s the start of becoming a better me.

I'd been wandering, without a real sense of purpose or direction since I graduated high school. There were so many things I wanted to do with my life that I couldn't figure out how to settle on one thing. Through coaching sessions and the Highlands Battery Assessment, Lisa facilitated the process of identifying my goals, resulting in moving to Colorado and living the life I longed for.

It is not an overstatement to say that working with Lisa has changed my life! Lisa has a gentle, loving way of approaching our time together that challenges me and gives me actionable steps to move forward. She is not afraid to step into the hard places with me. I have learned to be vulnerable and insightful through coaching.

You were clear and helpful to all of us. I was especially thinking how useful the information on managing stress was to parents, in how they respond to children who are causing them stress. You were amazing and I thank you!
