Stephen Straz’s story begins with the basics: hard work, precision, and a love for the trade. He learnt from a young age that true craftsmanship derives from patience, not shortcuts. Stephen was always that kid who stayed late to see it through the right way, and has become the bedrock of his career to date.

Today, Stephen leads Straz Builders LLC, based on the South Shore of Massachusetts (with locations in Marshfield and Pembroke), specializing in custom luxury homes, renovations, building sustainable and energy-efficient Communities, and real estate investments spanning the South Shore, Greater Boston, Cape Cod, and other parts of New England. 

Stephen’s known for demonstrating both experience and discipline in his work. He holds a Massachusetts Unrestricted Construction Supervisor’s License, Class ‘A’ CDL with hazmat and passenger endorsements, as well as hoisting and hydraulics licenses. These certifications show a builder who is hands-on and knows every phase of your project, from permits to structural inspections.

Between 2018 and 2020, he supervised about $12 million in real estate holdings, including about $4 million in active construction and roughly $2 million raised from outside investors for new developments. 

One highlight was the complete renovation and sale of 130 Gray Street, Arlington, which sold for $1.3 million ($130,000 above the asking price). It’s the payoff of strong planning, clean design, and an instinct for what the market wants.
