As my friend Andrea has written already, 2D Fighter Maker refuses to die. Thanks to the efforts of community developer Armonté players can enjoy online play with rollback netcode thanks to a new dedicated client.
The FM2K Rollback Launcher is built to support the 2D Fighter Maker 2nd engine, which means a number of existing games are available to play including Vanguard Princess, Wonderful World, Untitled Risk of Rain Fighting Game and Pokemon: Close Combat. At the time of writing the client is currently in active development, with features including replays and spectating online matches on the way.
Check out Mizuumi Wiki’s guide for setting up the FM2K Rollback Launcher, and be sure to support Armonté on Patreon for the immense work being put in to bring new life to beloved games built on the bones of 2D Fighter Maker.

Brooklyn Games & Arcade announced it will be closing for good between March and April 2026. The beloved arcade has played host to retro fighting game tournaments for over 10 years with footage on YouTube available from as far back as 2017. Tournaments and events will continue to run until its closure, which you can learn more about on their Twitter page. I encourage our readers to check our their awesome selection of cabinets while you still can at 6120 4th Av in Brooklyn, New York.
Brooklyn Video Games, the parent location and a separate independently run video game store, has not announced plans for closure.

TrashBoat small price to pay for Red Earth on FPGA

TrashBoat I think the only way you're getting a discount on parts that are otherwise off the shelf is if you need a large quantity of parts and are willing to bid on lots of PCs on government auctions / local university surpluses.
