Spring-Break is the seventh mission of of the pig campaign.
Briefing & Ending[]
Walkthrough[]
The player's starting position is near the bottom right corner. The oasis is heavily guarded, with massive quantities of Light Tanks, Scouts and Tank Killers, backed by powerful Mortars and Rocket Launchers that can quickly tear through armor while Artillery pick off stragglers. A conventional assault requires careful resource management and luring defenders away from Artillery units to decimate them, before clearing the Mortar Bunkers and Mines, allowing a Scout to safely approach the flag and claim victory.
Cheese[]
It is technically possible to cheese the mission by calling for a unit drop, though the enemy presence remains a huge hurdle, to the point where it's easier to proceed with a proper strike force. While there's enough vision around the flag to drop reinforcements, Air Defense Bunkers may destroy the transport while it's en route. Even if the unit somehow survives, the Mortar Bunkers usually block capture as nearby Mines blast it to oblivion.
By getting Artilleries behind the cliff and trees in front of the oasis, they can provide reliable covering fire. The Air Defense Bunker on a rocky hill should be a priority target, as are the Mortar Bunkers. Once they're gone, use Artillery to clear the Mines and drop a Mortar over there. It should survive long enough to reach the Flag.
Trivia[]
- There's a flag in the top left corner that can be captured but doesn't contribute to mission completion.
- This mission shares location with the sixth Rabbit mission.
