About the challenge

TechxNova Hacks is a hackathon for female and non-binary students in grades 6-12—an opportunity for younger girls to get involved in CS and ML, given the current lack of females in the field. During this month-long event, students can come together and work in teams or individually to create a project that helps our society, in one of the 3 tracks offered: Python Beginner, Machine Learning, and Web Development. This hackathon is for all skill levels including beginner and advanced coders, as we will be conducting introductory workshops online on Python, ML softwares, and Web Development during the course of the month. By attending you can win $18,000+ worth in prizes, listen to guest speakers, and create new programs!

Get started

Sign up through Devpost, join our Discord for announcements, attend our Python, WebDev, and ML/AI workshops, and guest speaker events throughout this month. If you are interested in just the workshops and not creating a project, feel free to still sign up!

Requirements

What to Build

Create a project (ex. website, program, app, code, game) that fits into one of the 3 tracks: Machine Learning/AI, Beginner, or WebDev. You can form teams of up to 4 people or work individually. All projects must work to fix a problem in society.

What to Submit

You must submit a 2-3 minute video that explains the project with how useful, unique, and usable it is, and shows a demo of the project. The video should appeal to the judging criteria. Along with the video, the link to the program or website should be attached.
