The Timelacer is the lightsaber we are known for: a fencer-engineered, RGB baselit duelling saber with an extended pommel that detaches into a nimble one-handed configuration. It is light, fast and film-ready, with flash-on-clash you can switch off, and it saturates almost like a neopixel blade without the extra weight.

Timeblade Guild grows out of real historical martial arts practice. We train through Academia da Espada and Crosscut HRST, and co-organise HEMA events such as Batallas de las Salas de Armas. That practitioner credibility is why we describe every blade by what it can actually do: how it handles, how it is built, and who it is for. No hype, no mystery steel, just blades we would put in our own hands.

A functional blade is built to be used: properly heat-treated steel, a sound tang and geometry suited to cutting or sparring. A decorative blade is built for display, often with softer steel and a lighter tang, and is not made for impact or cutting. Each Timeblade Guild listing states which it is.
Battle-ready means a sword is built to withstand use: appropriate spring or carbon steel, proper heat treatment, and a tang and construction that can take impact. It does not always mean the edge is sharpened, so check each listing for edge and intended use.
Many katanas in the shop are functional blades. Each listing should be checked for steel, edge, construction and intended use.
A feder is a flexible training sword made for HEMA sparring, with a wide schilt and a flexible blade for safer thrusts. A longsword is a two-handed sword with a long blade and grip. Medieval sword is a broader category that covers arming swords, longswords and other European blades, in both functional and display forms.
Use feders, blunt training swords and proper protective gear such as jackets, masks and gloves for HEMA sparring. Sharp or functional cutting blades are not for sparring against a partner. Each HEMA listing describes its intended training use.
