The themes that are not self-evident, plus my interpretations:
Grinchmas/Whoville: fun, quirky, bright green, and whimsical. The only bright green and (annoyingly) whimsical directorial decision on The Long Ballad is the way they obscured the lead couple's only kiss. Pfffft. :)
Primary Colors: primary colors are red, yellow and blue.
Motto: A word/phrase that best describes the ship. The way they always work together towards common goals, and even when their plans aren't coordinated, they still end up being perfectly in sync.
Reason You Ship Them: because their love is supportive. Both of them say at different points in the drama: wherever you go, I'll go.
Plus One: they're symbolically getting married in front of her mother's altar.

on 2026-01-19 07:59 pm (UTC)I love The Long Ballad, which is all the more surprising because it's a costume drama, and I'm not usually a fan of those. I only checked it out because I love Wu Lei. And then I realized it has men with long braided hair and a crossdressing FL, how could I have missed this? And *then* it turned out that the plot was good, too. I liked all her strategic decisions in the first half. And all the romance. It has so many good aspects, lol. :D
And now I'm almost through it and don't want it to end, so I'm just going through the last few eps at a snail's pace.
