Under CP02 - Quality and Management of Veterinary Services/Aquatic Animal Health Services, four eModules are now available online, designed to develop leadership competencies in Veterinary Services, primarily at the national level. The modules are as follows: Leadership Essentials for Veterinary Services Leadership in Veterinary Services: Intermediate Level Module Leadership in Veterinary Services: Advanced Level Module Leadership of Chief Veterinary Officers and WOAH Delegates for Stronger Veterinary Services These resources are designed to equip leaders in the veterinary field with the necessary knowledge, skills, and competencies to address current and future challenges in service management and quality.
WOAH is actively expanding its dynamic eModule catalogue to equip Members with high-quality, tailored training solutions that strengthen Veterinary Services worldwide. Anchored in the WOAH Competency-Based Training Framework, these eModules are organized around dedicated Competency Packages (CPs) and are carefully adapted to different levels of expertise—Day 1, Day 2, and Expert level—ensuring every learner has access to relevant, targeted, and impactful training. A growing number of eModules are already available, and many more are under development to further enrich this evolving training offer. Current modules cover a wide array of critical topics, including Trade, Outbreak Investigation, Emergency Management, Management vs Leadership, Partnerships for Surveillance, Wildlife Trade and Surveillance, and African Swine Fever. This expanding learning offer not only addresses performance gaps but also empowers Veterinary Services with the knowledge and competencies needed to meet today’s challenges—and seize tomorrow’s opportunities.
WOAH Competency-based Training Framework is currently structured around 16 Competence Packages (CPs) which, together, cover extensively the WOAH Codes, Manuals and Guidelines. Detailed Terms of Reference for each Competence Package are being developed and will be the foundation to ensure the consistency, coherence and efficiency of the future WOAH training offer, both online and face-to-face. The ToRs of CP10 on Partnerships are currently piloted and will pave the way for the development of the 15 remaining CP ToRs.
WVEPAH – 2026 Aquaculture Training Programs Now Open for Registration
The World Veterinary Education in Production Animal Health (WVEPAH), a WOAH Collaborating Centre for Advanced Training in Livestock Health, announces the opening of registrations for its 2026 Aquaculture Training Programs. These hybrid courses aim to strengthen global capacity in aquatic animal health, biosecurity, and sustainable production within a One Health framework.
Module I – Fundamentals of Farm Health Management in Aquaculture
2–6 March 2026 | James Cook University, Singapore (Hybrid)
Focus: water quality, nutrition & feeding, physiology, pathology, biosecurity, epidemiology, and WOAH standards, with practical sessions and field visits.

Module II – Advanced Health Management & Biosecurity in Aquaculture
18–22 May 2026 | Oniris VetAgroBio Campus, Nantes, France (Hybrid)
Focus: Mediterranean species (seabass, seabream, trout, carp), RAS systems, hatchery management, pathology and diagnostics, and farm audits.

Certification — WOAH-validated post-graduate qualification
Professionals who successfully complete both modules and submit 25 clinical cases will obtain the Professional Certificate in Animal Health: Aquaculture, delivered by the Université de Montréal and validated worldwide by WOAH.

The WOAH eLearning Platform is the learning environment of the World Organisation for Animal Health. It offers online eModules to individuals and organisations aiming at strengthening capacities of Veterinary Services, Aquatic Animal Health Services, One Health Systems.
The eModules are organized in 16 competency packages. Click on the competency package to see which learning opportunities you are offered.
The WOAH eModules are developed based on advanced quality standards defined by the WOAH Platform for the Training of the Veterinary Services. With our Collaborating Centres for Training and Education, we have defined core and advanced guidelines that we apply from the design to the evaluation phase. Multi-professional teams combine their methodological, pedagogical, technological and scientific expertise to ensure the eModules are aligned with the quality standards and respond to learners’ needs. In 'My Trainings' (also called Dahboard in the left menu), you will find:(i) all e-courses for which you can self-enroll (such as the PPP e-courses); (ii) all courses (whether online or class-room courses) that belong to WOAH global training programme aimed for WOAH Delegates, Focal Points and Contact Points and for which you have been registrered for by the WOAH Training Secretariat (upon your Delegate's approval, as relevant).
The eModules catalogue will be enriched overtime and we encourage you to regularly check it. New available modules will be advertised on the Platform homepage in the 'What's New section'. You can also contact WOAHtraining@woah.org, to request information and subscribe to the newsletter to receive all updates in your mailbox.
The WOAH eLearning platform is open access and targets primarily the veterinary workforce of the organisation Members. All health professionals responding to the entry prerequisites established for each eModule, can benefit from the learning opportunities offered.
WOAH cares your personal data, which are treaded respecting the its Privacy Policy. You can always exercise your rights and request to erase your personal data.
You need a good and stable Internet connection to access the eModule and take advantage of all its interactive features. The eModules are adaptive and can be consulted from any device.
The WOAH eLearning Platform is open access. All eModules are accessible free of charge.
Learners who have successfully passed the eModule final test, will receive a certificate and a badge stating the acquired competency. WOAH encourages its Members to consider the eModules for their educational systems, whether national or regional, and to include them in their Continuing Professional Development Plans.
